McTwist:

Method Air:
The front hand grabs the heel edge, both knees are bent, and the board is pulled to level of the head.

Miller Flip:
360-degrees rotation

Mold:
The cassette, which dictates the nose, tail, shape and camber profiles of a board/ski.

Mute Air:
The front hand grabs the toe edge either between the toes or in front of the front foot.

Nose:

Obstacle:
Barrier, useful for a jump.

Ollie:
A method to obtain air without a jump just by lifting up the tail. The original trick of skateboarders.

Oververt:

Platebinding:
Binding for hard boots

PU-Foam:
Polyurthan foam materials used as core material for the lowest quality level. The board tends to vibrations.

Prepreg, Preimpregnated:
Different kind of materials already impregnated with resin. The resin reacts under heat.

Pro:
Professional, Professional-Snowboarder

P-Tex:
Brand name for a base material, a special plastic of Polyethylene.

Quarterpipe:
A halfpipe with only one wall.

Rail:
Railing to slide

Ramp:
Each kind of jump possibility (jump, kicker, ....)

Regular:
Binding position with the left foot in the forward position.

Reinforcement:
Refers to layers of fiberglass to make a board hold together.

Ride:
Riding a snowboard

RIM:
Construction of a very simple core made of foam or a wooden veneer, no optimized power transfer.
